Chris Brown was arrested and charged with felony assault this morning, reports CNN. According toTMZ, Brown, 24, got in an argument with a man in front of the W Hotel and allegedly punched the man in the face. AP reports that the injured man was taken to the hospital, and was released this afternoon.

D.C. police spokesman Paul Metcalf told AP that the incident started just before 4:30 a.m., and that Chris Hollosy, 35, was also arrested. Though CNN reports that it that Hollosy is Brown's bodyguard, police didn't confirm the relationship of the two men to AP.

Brown is still on probation for assaulting then-girlfriend Rihanna in 2009, and has had a number of run-ins with the law since then. He's due back in court Nov. 20 in Los Angeles to update a judge on his probation.
